Expo takes business to “next level”
BPW Moreton Bay Business Expo and InnovatHer competition is back, bringing together some of the region’s most inspiring businesses.
The day of “connection, innovation and opportunity” is at Morayfield Sports and Events Centre on Saturday May 23, 10am-3pm.
The annual Expo is a key event on the local business calendar, connecting small businesses with the community while showcasing products, services and ideas.
At the heart of the Expo is InnovatHer, a competition supporting women in business to grow, refine and elevate ideas through mentoring, networking and live pitching opportunities.
“The Expo is about creating real opportunities for businesses to be seen, to connect and to grow,” BPW Moreton Bay President Vicki Wood said.
“It’s a space where collaboration happens, confidence builds and new ideas are supported.”
InnovatHer has become a standout feature of the event, with finalists pitching their business ideas live on stage in front of judges, industry representatives and the wider community.
“InnovatHer is incredibly powerful because it’s not just about winning,” Ms Wood said
“It’s about the journey with the connections made, the skills developed and the doors that open along the way.”
Founder of Courageous Girls Club, Sam Bell, who was runner-up in 2024, said the competition had a lasting impact.
“The whole process opened my eyes to my bigger mission and created opportunities and
connections that simply wouldn’t have happened otherwise,” Ms Bell said.
Since participating, Ms Bell has expanded her organisation across multiple locations and
continues to gain recognition for her work supporting young girls.
“Many of our participants tell us that while they may not take home the major prize, they gain something just as valuable,” Ms Wood said.
“For many, it’s the catalyst that helps take their business to the next level.”
The Expo offers businesses the chance to connect directly with the public, build brand
awareness and form partnerships within the local community.
It gives business the “opportunity to engage directly with their audience and be
part of a supportive and thriving business network,” Ms Wood said.
Exhibitor opportunities are now open, with a range of options available.
