Fighting chance of Aussie honours

Twenty-seven members of PK Taekwondo will be aiming for national glory at Brendale this weekend.
The club, at Flinders Pde, North Lakes, has six coaches and 21 competitors qualified for the Australian Taekwondo National Championships.
All booked their places at South Pine Sports Complex, from November 8-10, through the state selection process.
Preparations have gone well with a succession of medals from the WT President Cup and Australian Open G-2 events.
PK Taekwondo brought home two silver medals and five bronze from the international competitions at Nissan Arena from September 19-22.

Justin Naismith (Cadet male -41kg) won silver at the WT President Cup and a bronze in the Australian Open.
Daham Warakaulle (Cadet male -37kg) returned with a silver medal from the Australian Open and bronze in the WT President Cup.
Liam Sevenster (Junior -73kg) took bronze from both events, while Aeryn Bay (Cadet male -57kg) won bronze at the Australian Open and made the WT President Cup quarter-finals.
Jeffrey Park (Junior male -51kg) lost close fights in the quarter-finals of both events and Kenneth Porras (Open male -68kg) made the WT President Cup round of 32.
PK Taekwondo head coach Kangho Park and team doctor and coach Anuke Warakaulle were with the team at both events.
