Gallery: All the fun of Pine Rivers Carols

Christmas cheer was in good supply over the weekend with thousands of local families and visitors getting into the festive spirit at the Pine Rivers Carols.

Held at Pine Rivers Park on Sunday night, the event was the last signature carol event in the Christmas Moreton Bay Region program.

Santa, who took time out of his busy schedule to fly in from the North Pole, made quite the entrance when he was joined by the Clan Stuart Bagpipes Band.

Santa’s Village was a popular spot for kids of all ages, as they could have their photo taken with the jolly man in the red suit.

It was here they could also post their Christmas wish lists to the North Pole, pat the Christmas llamas, and enjoy some Christmas-themed arts and crafts.

Throughout the evening, the record crowd was enthralled by the local choirs and dance groups who performed everyone’s favourite carols on the main stage, before the headline act - the Baker Boys Band -  got the crowd up and dancing.

The night concluded with spectacular fireworks display at 8pm.
