It was smiles all round as Just Better Care North clients, potential clients and staff gathered for their final monthly seniors morning tea of the year yesterday.
Just Better Care North managing director Susanne Jones says the morning teas, the brainchild of home care package manager Jaimee Koolstra, have proven a huge success.
“We’ve had guest speakers come to talk about relevant topics – this month we had a community resilience officer from Moreton Bay Regional Council,” Susanne says.
“They spoke about Council’s Person-Centric Emergency Planning (P-CEP), which empowers the people who are the most vulnerable in the community to prepare for floods, fires and obviously COVID.”
Also attending the event were Mayor Peter Flannery and Brett Hayes, representing Dickson MP Peter Dutton.
