Investing in care at time of grief

Holy Cross Funerals at Kippa-Ring has two major additions to the services it provides for grieving families and to meet growing demand.

The only Catholic funeral home in Australia has recently upgraded its fleet with the arrival of a new Mercedes hearse.

It has also appointed Peter Mullins, who has been with the business four years, as the new manager for Holy Cross Funerals.

Future plans

“We want to provide the best for our families and that includes having a state-of-the-art hearse,” Mr Mullins said.

“We are looking to expand in the future and also meet increasing demand as we service Redcliffe, Brisbane and its surrounds, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich and Toowoomba.”

Mr Mullins has been in the funeral industry for 15 years and said he was passionate about supporting families and helping them in their times of need.

Supporting role

Holy Cross Funerals started in 1999 and is owned by the Holy Cross Catholic Parish at Kippa-Ring.

It takes care of all families, not just Catholic families, offering support and consolation to those grieving the loss of a loved one.

That is what sets Holy Cross Funerals apart from other funeral homes – its after care and grief counselling support for families, should they require it.

Holy Cross Funerals is now looking to expand this program to provide further support for families across much of South East Queensland.
