Kyle wrapped and ready for challenge

Redcliffe driver Kyle Evans will be back behind the wheel of his fluro green Duratec Spectrum this weekend at the start of seven major state meetings in 13 weeks.

Four of those will be in the Australian Formula Ford Championship (AFFC) where Evans, who has just turned 18, sits in 16th after the first three rounds.

The AFFC resumes, after a lengthy break, with round four at Sydney Motorsport Park, this weekend from August 5-7.

It will be followed by three-day meetings at Morgan Park Raceway, Warwick (August 26-28); The Bend Motorsport Park, South Australia (September 16-18) and back to Sydney Motorsport Park (October 28-30).

Between those races, Evans also has rounds four and five of the Victorian Formula Ford Championship at Sandown Raceway (August 12-14) and Phillip Island (September 23-25) as well as the Formula Ford Festival at Winton, Victoria (October 14-16).

During the break Evans, one of the youngest in the AFFC, completed a three-day car wrapping course with Hexis Australia, at Yatala.

Using those new skills he has applied a fluro green film to his 2014 Duratec-powered Spectrum Formula Ford car ahead of the four AFFC rounds.

The dayglo orange is a requirement for all Duratec competitors to feature on the roll hoop, rear view mirrors and nose cone.
