Classic LandCruiser Expo returns

Mr Landcruiser is set to host a LandCruiser Expo and car show to celebrate the culture and continued preservation of the classic Toyota LandCruiser.

The expo will be held on Saturday, October 7, from 9am-4.30pm at Caboolture Showgrounds.

Mr LandCruiser Director Paul Read says the expo is a great opportunity to connect with like-minded people in the car community.

“This is an opportunity to bring so many like-minded car enthusiasts from all over Australia to the largest classic Landcruiser show on offer, and a chance to get ideas off other owners and talk all things cars,” Paul says.

“This is the shows second year and the only car show I have hosted. With a huge passion (for cars) and being surrounded by a successful team, it was always going to be a hit. We expect this year to be bigger with more cars, more vendors, and it’s even set to break last year’s attendance of 4000 visitors.”

Attendees can expect a day full of cars, activities and live entertainment.

“(There will be) around 300 pre-1989 classic LandCruiser’s on display; from farm equipment LandCruiser’s right through to the classic show car. There will also be plenty of food and drinks, with a licensed bar, and ice cream and face paint for the little ones,” Paul says.

There’s also the opportunity to camp at the showgrounds on Friday night, and "for those camping, we have live music, food and a bar".

The main attraction at the expo will be the car show competition, followed by an awards ceremony at the end of the day.

“We have 18 trophies on offer for both the 40 and the 60 series LandCruiser. From best tourer, most modified, people’s choice, classic resto and many more. Like last year, we will have some giveaways and a raffle on the day too,” Paul explains.

Tickets are available here.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for children aged 4-13, with under-3s free. A family ticket for two adults and two children is $30.

Caboolture Showgrounds is at 140 Beerburrum Rd, Caboolture.
