New Wellbeing Hub for veterans

Lives Lived Well at Caboolture is hosting an open day for its new Veterans' and Families' Wellbeing Hub.

The event will be held on Wednesday, November 22, providing an opportunity for veterans to explore the Hub’s offerings, connect with locals and enjoy a morning tea.

The Hub was officially opened last month by Lives Lived Well Caboolture, in partnership with the Vietnam Veterans Association of Australia (Queensland Branch).

The Veterans' and Families' Wellbeing Hub is open to all current and former serving Australian Defence Force members, including reservists and their families.

It will provide flexible support, wellbeing services, and the opportunity for veterans to make friends with like-minded individuals in the community.

Vietnam Veterans Association of Australia (Queensland Branch) State Secretary Darryl Shipp says the Hub is an important development for Moreton Bay veterans.

“It is so important that our Australian Defence Force personnel, veterans and their families have a dedicated place where they can go to connect with one another and to also access the assistance they need,” Darryl says.

“We know having access to the right supports when you need them can make a real difference to health and wellbeing.”

Those interested in attending the open day are asked to RSVP by emailing vwc@liveslivedwell.org.au by Friday, November 17.

The event will take place at 12 King St, Caboolture, from 10am to noon.
