NRL Draw: When and where to see Dolphins play

The Dolphins’ hopes of playing an historic opening game against the Roosters at Suncorp Stadium have been realised, with the clash confirmed in the NRL draw this morning.

The game will be on March 5 at 3.05pm and honours a long-held dream of rugby league great the late Arthur Beetson who said he’d love to see his two former clubs play each other in the NRL.

The Dolphins’ first game at their spiritual home, Redcliffe’s Moreton Daily Stadium, is on Saturday, March 11 at 4.30pm. It will, no doubt, be a sell-out.

The side will head to Newcastle for their first away game against the Knights on Friday, March 17 at 5pm.

And the Battle for Brisbane will kick off with their first game against the Brisbane Broncos on Friday, March 24 at 7.05pm.

The preseason draw has the Dolphins playing the Cowboys on February 12 in Cairns and the Titans at Moreton Daily Stadium on February 19 (6.05pm kick-off).

Throughout the regular season, the Dolphins will play three games at Moreton Daily Stadium, seven at Suncorp and one each at Sunshine Coast Stadium and The Gabba.

They will play the Broncos, Cowboys, Dragons, Knights, Raiders, Roosters, Titans, Warriors twice during the season.

The Dolphins have games at venues which have proven difficult to win at for other clubs including BlueBet Stadium, PointsBet Stadium, AAMI Park and CommBank Stadium.

They will play the Panthers, Sharks, Storm and Eels all on home turf in South East Queensland.
