Resort launches donation drive

Thyme Moreton Bay, the Morayfield lifestyle resort, is working with Caboolture Community Action (CCA) again to help those facing homelessness or hardship at Christmas.

The village is collecting donations of non-perishable food and toiletries at the Country Club, in the Amy St resort, from Sunday to Friday (December 8-13).

Donations will then be delivered to Caboolture Community Action on the afternoon December 13 for distribution.

"This is the second year in a row that we have chosen to support Caboolture Community Action,” Judy Watson, social coordinator at Thyme Moreton Bay, said.

“The need is clear, with many people in our local community living in tents in local parks.

“As a community, we are fortunate not to be in such a situation, and we feel it is important to give back to those who are less fortunate.”

CCA is a volunteer-run, non-profit organisation providing essential services such as food relief, housing assistance and even a free veterinary clinic for pets of the homeless.
