Ride honouring fallen police
More than 140 motorcycle riders attended the Moreton District Headquarters at the Caboolture Police station as part of the 2021 Wall to Wall ride.
The riders gathered this morning as part of a national ride commemorating police officers killed in the line of duty.
Moreton Community Engagement Officer Senior-Constable Jo Arthur says the riders carry with them a handcrafted baton that contains the names of fallen officers.
“Sadly one of our own, Senior-Constable Dave Masters was added to this list this year and today we had the opportunity to honour him once again,” Sen-Constable Arthur says

“It was great to see Sharon, Jack, Al and Jean from the Masters family attend, (with) Jack posing for a few pics on the 2021 Wall to Wall motorcycle.”
Police Chaplains Ian Todd and Matt Govan blessed the riders before they headed off on the next stage of their journey.
They will travel to Emerald, arriving in a few days, Sen-Constable Arthur says.
The annual national Wall to Wall ride involves police from all over the country who traditionally meet in Canberra for National Police Remembrance Day.
Last year the ride was cancelled and this year’s border closures necessitate a modified trip, keeping our riders here in Queensland, Sen-Constable Arthur says.
Not-for-profit charity Blue Hope, which provides support to current and former police officers from all around Australia cooked up breakfast for the riders.
