Santa Paws returns

Santa Claus is coming to town. In fact, the jolly man in red will make a special visit to Peninsula Animal Aid on Saturday November 14.

He’s coming so families and their pets can have their Christmas photo taken, while raising much needed funds for the animal shelter at the same time.

PAA president Anne Denton says photos will be taken by Charlotte Reeves Photography.

“These high-quality photos are great to give to family and friends for Christmas. They also make great mementos for yourself,” she says.

The cost is $25, which includes the photographic shoot and a printed photograph. Additional items may also be ordered.

How it will work

As it is a COVID-Safe event, there will be separate time blocks depending on whether you have people in your group.

If you want to just have animals in your photo, and no people, timeslots will be available between 8am and 9.30am. Photos will be with Santa.

If you have people in your group, due to social distancing, Santa will not be present when your photo is taken. But don’t worry, your photo will still include Santa when the ‘editing elves’ are finished with it.

Bookings for timeslots for photos including people will be available from 9.45-11.15am, and 11.30am-1pm.

What else is happening

The popular PAA hydrobath will be operating as usual and nail clipping will again be offered by FurBiz Pet Services.

The Santa Paws photo day is an important fundraiser, enabling PAA to continue caring for and rehoming of stray and surrendered cats and dogs.

For more information or to book, visit peninsulaanimalaid.com.au or phone the office on 3284 1927. PAA is at 313 Duffield Rd, Clontarf.
