Redcliffe Pink Snapdragons are celebrating Classic success and remembering with a special paddle on the water this weekend.
The breast cancer dragon boat club is holding a Flowers on the Water and Field of Women Remembrance Paddle from 9am tomorrow.
Snappies members will be taking to the water at 9.30am from the club’s base at Talobilla Park, off Klingner Rd in Kippa-Ring.
The ceremony is to “honour those touched by breast cancer – survivors, supporters and those we remember”.

It follows Snappies' third place in the 200m BCS Small Boat Division at the recent Currumbin Creek Classic.
With members of Dragon Boat Pumicestone, it showed “teamwork, strength, and spirit at its best,” a spokesperson said.

“Every paddle stroke was filled with determination, joy, and support for one another — a true reflection of the Snappies spirit!”
This is the second year together for most of the Redcliffe crew, following a successful debut season which saw first, second and third place finishes.
It was the crew’s second regatta of the season and forms part of the lead-up to the 2026 State Championships being held next March.
