Renovations and holiday after $50,000 win

A Caboolture couple’s cherished numbers have turned an ordinary weekend Keno draw into a $53,000 win.

The Moreton Bay residents scored the Keno Classic 8 Spot jackpot in Keno draw 248, drawn Saturday July 18 and took home $53,634.30.

“It’s amazing! One of those things that never happens to us,” the wife said. “We were in a bit of shock when it happened. This is definitely the biggest win we’ve had.

“We don’t normally go to the club on the weekend, but we decided to pay Sports Central Caboolture a visit on Saturday after enjoying some roast pork for dinner!

“My partner and I decided to put a game of Keno on and we used my birthday, his birthday, the number of years we’ve been married and how old we’re currently.

“We couldn’t believe it when we saw we’d won! We’re not the type to shout around but we were very happy. The staff also know us pretty well and seemed stoked for us.

“I celebrated with a glass of wine and my partner had a couple of beers!”

With $53,000 set to boost their bank account, the couple has a few ideas for their prize, won at the Hasking St venue.

“We’ll definitely finish some renovations around the house!” she shared.

“Our fence palings are more than 25 years old and looking a bit wonky, so we’re keen to put in a new fence. We’d also love a new bathroom.

“We’ve also talked about going on a holiday, but we’re not entirely sure where yet. Vietnam, Cambodia and Vanuatu are on the list!”

In 2025, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 78 million wins collectively worth more than $1.2 billion.

There were 17 Keno millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $40.8 million. Visit the Keno blog to find out more.
