Plans have been lodged for a new caravan park and amenities in the Moreton Bay region.

The development application (DA), submitted to Moreton Bay City Council, is for a “tourist park” at 112-144 Creek Rd, Burpengary East.

If approved, there would be 50 caravan sites – 41 self-contained and nine with amenities provided.

Site operating hours would be 8am-5pm and the DA, which is publicly available on Council’s website, says as all bookings and payments would be online.

Because of this, a site office would not be needed, but the operator of the park would live on the premises and “be available to supervise and provide assistance when required”.

The site would have toilets, showers and amenities for campers, but as “most caravans will be self-contained, it is not expected all will use these facilities”.

Each site would have a designated parking space and access to the 15-hectare property would be from Creek Rd.
