What’s on in 2026 with free community events across the City of Moreton Bay
Two event delivery contractors, Tourism and Events Moreton Bay and Mask Events, have been appointed to deliver community events across the City of Moreton Bay, confirming who will be responsible for delivering council-supported events moving forward.
With delivery arrangements now in place, a full calendar of free community events is being rolled out for 2026, giving locals clarity on what’s happening and when.
As part of the program, 16 free events have already been confirmed up to 30 June 2026, with more expected to be announced as the year progresses.
The 2026 calendar includes a mix of live music, cultural celebrations, family-friendly festivals and food-focused events.
Events confirmed so far for 2026
Events delivered by Tourism and Events Moreton Bay between January and June include:
A second group of events, delivered by Mask Events, will run from April to June and includes:
Grooving in the Green, a music and art series across Mango Hill, Moreton Bay Central, Dayboro and Woody Point
Taste the Bay, a food and beverage series in Newport, Albany Creek and Bribie Island
Cruisin’ Caboolture
Event delivery and future planning
Alongside the scheduled events, the refreshed program also includes a community event support service, designed to help external organisations plan and deliver additional local events across the city.
The delivery contracts extend through to 2029, with the potential for the program to continue into the lead-up to the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games.
