Region's top Lotto suburbs revealed

Morayfield and the Moreton Bay Region have hit the Lotto jackpot again in 2022, according to latest figures from The Lott.

Our region shares second place with Sunshine Coast for Queensland’s most Division One winning entries from January 1-November 30, with 10 apiece.

The combined total of those Moreton Bay winners was more than $12,260,000. The biggest single winner coming at Kippa-Ring in January with $1,937,209.61.

Sunshine Coast had an accumulative $16,680,000 with a massive $4.8 million winner from Caloundra. Gold Coast had 12 Division One winners totalling $13 million.

Winning ways

Morayfield (4506) shared top spot in Queensland’s postcodes with most Division One winners alongside Caloundra (4551), Logan Village/Eaglby/Windaroo (4207) and Eimeo/West Mackay (4740). Each had three winners.

Two of the Morayfield winners were sold at Nextra Morayfield Plaza News in Morayfield Shopping Centre. All three totalled more than $2,451,000, with the largest win being $1 million.

Queensland has 92 Division One winners this year, winning a total of $231,744,606.73. Victoria has 142 (total $394,588,393.74) and NSW/ACT 109 (total $529,319,513.26).

While Victoria has top spot for the most major prizes to date, NSW has most division one prize money with more than $529 million.

Biggest win

Queensland’s biggest Division One prize across all lottery games came from an online Powerball entry which won $60 million on January 6.

Nationally, the biggest individual lottery win, from January 1-November 30 this year has been an incredible $63 million Powerball win in February by a Coffs Harbour man.

Most millionaires have been created in Victoria 84, with NSW 80, Queensland 57, Western Australia 50, South Australia 20, Tasmania 5, Northern Territory 4.

In the 11 months to November 30, there were 471 division one winning entries across the country delivering more than $1.4 billion in division one prize money.

Megadraw

And there is still the Saturday Lotto $40 Million Megadraw jackpot of $40 million to be won on New Year’s Eve.
