Youngpreneur markets to blossom at North Harbour

In a bid to provide a platform for budding young entrepreneurs, Chloe Alley, a 16-year-old business owner, will launch the By Chloe Youngpreneur Markets at North Harbour on Saturday, December 2.

The markets aim to offer other young business owners the opportunity to display their products, foster valuable connections and ignite a sense of community among like-minded peers in Moreton Bay; with ample spots available for young individuals to showcase their products at the markets.

Chloe started her heat wheat business, By Chloe, at age 11, and the idea for these markets developed after she realised there were not enough avenues to present her products to the community.

After seeing the increase in young entrepreneurs wanting to make their mark, Chloe started planning the markets.

“Hearing entrepreneurs succeed and getting inspiration from role models has inspired many to pursue entrepreneurship early,” Chloe says.

“The markets offer young entrepreneurs a chance to develop entrepreneurial skills and build self-confidence.

“I also hope that seeing young entrepreneurs succeed can inspire others to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams and bring the community together to support our young local talent.”

Attendees can expect a lively atmosphere with young entrepreneurs presenting their products, complemented by festive entertainment including acrobatics, buskers and complimentary food offerings, courtesy of North Harbour.

The event aims to be a vibrant celebration of the holiday season, complete with a free sausage sizzle and ice cream.

Chloe is brimming with excitement and is looking forward to seeing her vision of supporting young entrepreneurs to come to fruition.

“I cannot wait to see my vision of supporting young entrepreneurs come to life. I am excited to see young people showcasing their talents, creativity and innovation,” Chloe says.

The markets will be held at North Harbour, a thriving hub where budding artisans and innovate minds converge to showcase their handmade creations.

Marketing and Community Engagement Manager Vicki Wood has been helping Chloe by sponsoring the markets and collaborating on the campaign to launch at North Harbour.

“When you see someone with a real drive and passion for something, you can’t help but want to get behind them and support in any way possible,” Vicki says.

“With more than 30,000 small businesses in the City of Moreton Bay, there's no better time to inspire people to work and live in this vibrant area; and that starts by encouraging and supporting local youngsters showing an interest in creating their own business ventures.”

The markets will be held at North Harbour Display Village at Falcon St, Burpengary East, from 8am-noon.
