Sadly, swimming is not permitted at Bullocky Rest and those looking to use paddle craft on Lake Samsonvale can only be launched from Forgan Cove. Child’s Play at Bullocky Rest

There is a lot for kids to see and do at Bullocky Rest, with a playground ideal for older toddlers and primary aged children. With bark chip softfall, the playground has a slide, fireman’s pole and a small flying fox. It is shaded by the surrounding trees, so a lovely spot to play even in the middle of the day.

Aside from the playground structure, Bullocky Rest offers lots of opportunities to engage children in outdoor nature play, from watching the local bird wildlife, to turtle and koala spotting. There’s also plenty of sticks, rocks, leaves and wildflowers to collect and investigate. If you don’t mind a little ‘muddy fun’, it’s also a great place to cook up a few mud pies!

With its wide grassy banks, Bullocky’s Rest is also great for a social fun game of; soccer, cricket, Frisbee or touch footy.

Park Weddings at Bullocky Rest

Overlooking the water, there’s nothing more romantic then a civil ceremony at Bullocky Rest. Before you send out those invitations though, you do need to apply for an Event Permit via SEQwater. Make sure you allow plenty of time for processing of your Event application as it can take up to 4 weeks. Find out more and Apply here
