About Glass House Local
Glass House Local is more than a place to eat, drink and play – it's a welcoming community hub in the heart of the Glass House Mountains. Originally established in 1936 as the Glasshouse Country Bowls Club, the venue has a long history of bringing locals together through sport, hospitality and community connection.
Following its merger with the Beerwah RSL and Citizens Memorial Club in 2001, and its rebrand in 2011, the venue has continued to evolve while staying true to its local roots. Now part of the CSC Group, Glass House Local is embracing a new chapter while honouring its proud heritage.
What we offer
Glass House Local offers relaxed dining with classic pub favourites, seasonal specials and family-friendly meals, alongside a well-stocked bar serving beers, wines, spirits and refreshing beverages.
The venue's iconic lawn bowls greens remain at the heart of the club, hosting both social and competitive bowls, while Barefoot Bowls every Sunday provides a fun activity for families, friends and community groups.
Guests can also enjoy live sport on multiple screens, regular raffles, promotions and community events, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The venue is also available for celebrations, functions and local gatherings.
Who we serve
Glass House Local proudly welcomes residents and visitors from across the Glass House Mountains region, including Beerwah, Landsborough, Peachester, Maleny and the wider Sunshine Coast hinterland.
Whether you're looking for a great meal, a relaxed drink, a game of bowls or a place to connect with friends and family, Glass House Local offers an authentic local experience. As a long-standing community venue, it continues to support local clubs, events and initiatives while remaining a favourite meeting place for people of all ages.
