About Lions Park | Woorim

Lion’s Park Woorim is a park for a day of adventure. Located just behind Woorim Beach and not far from the Woorim Caravan Park on Boyd Street, Bribie Island, Lion’s Park is the perfect spot for a picnic lunch after a day of sun, surf and swimming.

A day at Woorim, including a visit to Lion’s Park, is one of the best things to do at Bribie with kids! Large parts of the park are shaded, making it a great escape from the midday sun. Taking the kids to Lion’s Park in Woorim can also be an outing in itself rather than just a footnote to a day at the beach. Make it a special treat and order fish and chips and give yourself a break, too!

Lion’s Park – What’s in it for me?

Catering more to older children (four and over), Lion’s Park in Woorim will entertain kids who love to climb and swing with a number of climbing structures as well as shaded swings. There are two fenced playgrounds here with plenty of shade.

Both play areas sit on a rubber base, which makes for soft landings for all that active, imaginative play. What will your kids make of the massive climbing structure? Is it a space ship, a pirate ship or something else entirely? With equipment for climbing, spinning and balancing, a day at Lion’s Park in Woorim will stretch them to their physical and mental limits! And won’t that make for a good night’s sleep?

Eating, drinking and amenities

The fish and chip shop near Lion’s Park gives the adults a great excuse to just pack up the kids and come to the park. There are cafes, the surf club and child friendly pub right next door too! But for those who want to save their pennies and pack lunch, Lion’s Park has some of the best electric barbeques, tables and picnic areas for a BYO experience. The park also offers water fountains and toilets. The park has been designed really well, with the barbeques located in the shade and bench seats spread out for your comfort.

Wheelchairs and prams can get around easily with accessible walking and bicycle paths.

If you are going to be at Lion’s Park in the heat of the day, bring all the usual suspects – hats, sunscreen and sunglasses as it can get hot and glary, even with the shaded areas. And don’t forget your togs! With all that activity everyone may need a cool down swim at the beach, which is of course just a stone’s throw away!
