About Margate Beach Park

Another pristine beach on the Redcliffe Peninsula awaits you at Margate Parade. The beautiful golden sand and calm waters make this place a popular dipping spot for young children's families. So, load the family into the car, or friends, and visit Margate Beach.

Margate Beach Highlights

Margate beach proudly boasts the longest mainland stretch of sand beach alongside a trendy timber boardwalk. The boardwalk location right next to the beach makes it convenient for scooters for walkers, bikes and little kids.

The quaint Scotts Point swimming pavilion built in 1937 is situated at the northern end of the beach, offering an insight into the famous beach life of a time gone by.

The Norfolk pines lining the Esplanade along Margate Beach, add to the pleasant ambience at the waterfront park. These pines serve to remind us of the first settlers that arrived on the shores of the Redcliffe Peninsula who had brought the plant seedlings with them. The shade provided by the canopy of the huge branches provides prevention from sunburn in the summer months.

In the warmer months, families flock to Margate Beaches' calm and safe waters for hours of enjoyment splashing around in the cool ocean.

Margate Beach is well-equipped with quality BBQ facilities making it one of Redcliffe 's ideal barbeque beaches for a get-together. Pack sausages, onions, and bread, fill your esky with cold drinks, and take your friends or family down in the sun for a day out.

Or for those looking for a scenic workout location, then Margate beach is calling out to be put through its paces. The free fitness equipment on the beachfront can provide the ultimate workout with the perfect backdrop. If you're not in the mood for a full body workout, then you can take advantage of the 2km stretch for a stroll, run or ride while you take in the view.
