The Redcliffe Botanic Gardens, with its many shaded areas, is the perfect location for a picnic! The shelters and seating available make it the perfect place for a party, no matter what the weather.

About Redcliffe Botanic Gardens

Between 6 am and 6 pm hours, seven days a week, entry to the gardens is free! Accessible by wheelchair, with plenty of walking paths, you can find the Gardens conveniently accessible from any point. Parking is on site including disabled parking. Some of the features to explore include:

The Peninsula Herb Garden

Featuring over 500 species of herbs used in cooking, you'll be busy trying to identify as many as you can.

The Chorizema Spring

If you're looking for the ultimate cool, relaxing oasis, you'll enjoy this water feature that works like a natural network of ponds. You may be fortunate enough to see a tree frog or two sprouting from a spring underneath the rocks.

The Moreton Region Rainforest

One of the most popular spots in the gardens, this cool and shady space occupies almost a quarter of the Botanic Gardens. The Rainforest area is home to over 250 species of rainforest native to the Moreton Bay Region and over 1000 bats! It is one of Redcliffe Botanic Gardens' most noisier spots!

The Wallum Heathland

A truly beautiful spot in spring and early summer, with a wildflower display coming to life alongside the banksia plants. Little kids might even like to go “fairy spotting” through the fairy gardens.

The Quota Garden and Amphitheatre

You will find a true understanding of the sensory here. The Society for the Growing of Australian Plants takes charge of the native garden. You could be fortunate enough to see a wedding in the amphitheatre on any given weekend.
