Up to 120 jobs are expected to be created with the opening of a new McDonald’s restaurant in Dakabin.
Applications to work at the restaurant are now open, which include a variety of crew, barista, management and maintenance roles.
The store, which will be located at 1 Alma Rd, Dakabin, is expected to welcome its first customers by the end of the year.
McDonald’s Dakabin will be owned and operated by licensee Gary Coyne, who employees more than 900 people across nine restaurants in Moreton Bay, including Deception Bay, Kallangur, Murrumba Downs, North Lakes Business Park, North Lakes Westfield, Strathpine, Strathpine Town Centre and Warner.
Gary, who became a McDonald’s licensee 28 years ago, says he is excited to open this new store and provide more job opportunities for residents.
“We are excited to start construction on a new restaurant in Moreton Bay and create 100 construction jobs, as well as a further 120 operational jobs once the restaurant opens,” Gary says.
“McDonald’s Dakabin is committed to playing an active role in the local community through providing jobs, training and development opportunities, as well as supporting local charities and groups that are important to our customers and people.
“We look forward to serving up our great tasting, great quality menu once the restaurant opens later this year.”
The new restaurant will feature a dual lane drive thru, McCafe and McPlayPlace, as well as be fitted with modern décor, solar panels, a heat recovery water system and LED lights.
It will also feature wheel stops containing recycled materials in the car park.
