Police are searching for the owner of a mystery urn found after a car was broken into at Margate this month.
A Margate resident woke on May 3 to find her Nissan X-trail had been entered unlawfully.
Police say the woman found a small urn left behind that did not belong to her.
The woman handed the urn into police, who found it contained ashes.
Search for owner
It is not known whether the ashes are human or from an animal.
Inquiries to find the owner have so far been unsuccessful, but police would like to return it to its rightful home.
If you are the owner – or know who is - phone the Redcliffe Property Office between 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday on 3283 0570.
