Ausbuild community grants open

Applications are open for the Ausbuild Community Fund (Moreton Bay) Grant Program, with $50,000 on offer to grassroots organisations across the City of Moreton Bay.

Fourteen community initiatives have already benefited from two rounds of the grant program, formerly known as The Sanctuary Community Fund.

Previously, only applicants from Warner, Eatons Hill, Albany Creek, Bray Park and Strathpine were eligible to apply - areas that directly surround Ausbuild’s Warner development, The Sanctuary.

Ausbuild Joint Managing Director Matthew Bell says he is excited to expand the grant program, which will now encompass the entire City of Moreton Bay, and hopes the funding will help even more community projects.

“In 2022, Ausbuild provided $100,000 over two funding rounds to local sports, community clubs, projects and charities close to our master planned community,” he explains.

“It was so great to see the fund come to life through these important initiatives, and we hope this expanded grant round will have a ripple effect by benefiting more people and organisations across Moreton Bay.

“Our local kids footy clubs, schools, kindergartens and associated P&Cs, family support organisations and environment protection groups, and everything in between, are the backbone of our local communities.

“As a local builder and developer proudly delivering new communities across Moreton Bay, we have a responsibility to foster sustainable growth and our vision is to create well-planned, well-connected communities firmly places people at the heart of that commitment.”

What’s on offer

Eligible schools, community groups and sporting clubs across the City of Moreton Bay can apply for funding from $500 to $25,000, to buy new equipment and uniforms; upgrade sporting facilities; and deliver new or expanded services and programs as well as community events, training and workshops.

Applicants need to demonstrate how their projects contribute to the pillars of a healthy community. These include sporting and recreation, health and wellbeing, environment and sustainability, infrastructure and diversity and inclusiveness.

Applications are open until November 16 via the Ausbuild website.
