Sick of the ‘same old, same old’ bacon and eggs and big breakfasts? We’ve put together a list of some of our favourite cafes around the region who have unique and creative menus, fun décor, fantastic service – and of course, fabulous coffee!

Gather and Feast

With gorgeous shabby chic décor and delicious fresh produce that is beautifully decorated and made with love, you’ll want to stay at the delightful Gather and Feast all day.

Their menu features ongoing classics like potato hash with pea and feta crumble and creative on-the-day specials like charcoal hot chocolate, sticky date pudding pancakes and PB&J waffles.

Sit back in their funky outdoor area or soak up the good vibes inside.

Flying Nun Café

Flying Nun Café is well-known and loved by everyone in the Samford region – and for good reason!

This charming church-cum-café features stunning stain glassed windows, chunky timber floors and is surrounded by a peaceful rainforest garden. It is right in the middle of the picturesque Samford village, so after a big brunch you can walk it off and explore the gorgeous local shops and cafes.

Their menu rotates every season always ensuring fresh produce and unique offerings.

Our current pick? We absolutely love the Nun’s famous corn fritters with fried eggs, grilled halloumi, spicy tomato relish and coriander salsa.

Their brioche breakfast burger with chilli jam is a regular go-to and, although not a traditional brunch item, their fried chicken tenders with BLVD sauce and siracha mayo are something truly special.

Featuring an amazing range of food and super friendly service, sit in the sun and enjoy your cuppa to power up before a shopping spree at Westfield North Lakes.
