Caboolture Made - shout it out!
Words by Nick Crockford

Caboolture Made, a new campaign launched this week, will showcase the success of business in its “own backyard”.

It is targeting Caboolture businesses of all sizes and sectors, community groups and residents by “shouting” about goods and services in the region.

In coming months, Caboolture Made will #shoutitout, sharing stories and success on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn as well as Moreton Daily News, 101.5FM and Hot 91.

The business community will then be encouraged to support and share the stories to celebrate the Caboolture region and dispel myths and misconceptions.

Members of the public are also encouraged to follow Caboolture Made on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn sharing posts and positive stories.

The campaign is an initiative of Moreton Bay Regional Council, supported by BPW Caboolture and the Greater Caboolture Chamber of Commerce.

“If you’re Caboolture Made, we want you to shout it out!’’ said Cr Adam Hain (Div 3), who was at the launch in Sports Central Caboolture on Tuesday.

“If we all get behind this campaign it will swell beyond the local business and hopefully get more shopping locally, which we should all be doing anyway.

Caboolture Made was developed through community consultation sessions last year with industry leaders, community groups and local businesses asked about Caboolture’s attributes, perceptions and shaping the campaign.

It revealed a number of key themes and an overwhelming sense of pride among the group.

“You only have to talk to those residents who’ve based their businesses here to know how proud they are to live, work, play and invest in this area,” Acting Mayor Jodie Shipway said.

“It’s their confidence that gives me confidence this campaign will be a raging success.”

President of The Greater Caboolture Chamber of Commerce, Naomi Cauley, said: “There is so much to be excited about in the region and we know the Caboolture Made campaign will shine a light on what's truly great about Caboolture.”

BPW (Business Professional Women) Caboolture President Gail Hudson added: “We believe Caboolture Made will foster growth and interest in our area which will translate into opportunities for all involved.”
