Captain's Call: Cameron Cullen

By Dolphins Captain Cameron Cullen

It was a massive night at Moreton Daily Stadium with our Dolphins junior march and our boys looking to make it five consecutive wins against a quality team in Burleigh.

It was a cold night but that didn’t stop a heap of Dolphins supporters and juniors hanging around to cheer us on.

A dropped ball off the kick-off and Burleigh scored within the first two minutes of the game which was a less than ideal start.

In what was a quality Intrust Super Cup game, we went into half-time down 14-12.

We went through some adversity in the second half losing our winger Setu Tu and five-eighth Sean O’Sullivan to injury.

This meant a massive reshuffle however we responded really well and were able to come away with a 32-24 win moving us into fourth on the ladder.

It was a very special night for myself personally celebrating my 100th game with a win against my old club.

We now look to make it six in a row against Tweed at Tweed, which would see us overtake them on the ladder and move to third.
