Caboolture businesses back new Chamber

Businesses in the Caboolture region have thrown their support behind a new Chamber of Commerce group which launched earlier this month.

More than 70 people attended the inaugural event of the Greater Caboolture Chamber of Commerce on February 3, with 30 businesses signing up to become members.

Greater Caboolture Chamber of Commerce President Naomi Cauley said she was looking forward to supporting local businesses.

“The role of a Chamber of Commerce is to advocate for the region to promote growth and prosperity, which we are looking forward to doing,” she said.

“Everything we do will help raise the image and reputation of Caboolture and the surrounding areas.

“We will be hosting monthly networking events which is extremely important, especially with face-to-face contact having been so limited over the past two years.

“These monthly events will help generate more networking opportunities and collaboration between the Chamber and the local businesses.”

Familiar with business and chamber protocol

Ms Cauley takes on the role of President after being an executive officer of the Redlands Coast Chamber of Commerce for eight years.

“That was a good grounding for this opportunity because I know what exactly goes into creating a successful chamber,” she said.

Ms Cauley also describes herself as a “serial entrepreneur”. She has worked in hospitality, began a new business in partnership with her brother, who is a stonemason, and currently runs a bookkeeping business.
