Are you a tradie looking for a way to connect with locals and to promote your business? It’s been a bit tricky in recent months, but there’ll soon be a new community newspaper to make it a whole lot easier.

Dolphins News will be delivered fortnightly to 50,000 households on the Redcliffe peninsula, and to Deception Bay, Mango Hill, North Lakes and Griffin from September 16/17. An additional 5000 copies will be available from pick-up locations in these suburbs.

The paper will be a community newspaper in every sense, a trusted source of local news which is packed with information about the events that make this part of the world a great place to live.

What to expect

Dolphins News will harness a strong sense of the community, fostered by a diverse range of community groups and local champions who look out for each other. It will showcase all of this, while also shining a light on local businesses, schools and sporting clubs.

The name is a nod to the region’s only Intrust Super Cup team and our partners, The Dolphins. The club has a long-standing connection with the Redcliffe peninsula and surrounding suburbs.

Dolphins News enhances that connection – providing a newspaper for that very same community.

The sales team will be led by Stacie Davey, who has worked on community newspapers in this region for more than 35 years.

“I have a passion for serving this community and know how important a strong local paper is for not only readers, but the advertisers who want to connect with them,” Stacie says.

“I know local papers work and I know businesses are crying out for the opportunity to showcase what they do to a local audience again.”
