Don’t miss Movie in the Park Narangba

Bring the family to the free Movie in the Park Narangba event on September 9 at Norfolk Lakes Park.

It’s part of Moreton Bay Regional Council’s bumper community events program for 2022.

The film, Space Jam: A New Legacy, will be screened at the event which is on from 5-8pm. The movie is expected to start about 6pm.

Movie in the Park Narangba is presented by Moreton Bay Regional Council and supported by major sponsors Ausbuild and Moreton Daily.

Movie snacks, including popcorn and fairy floss, will be available for sale before the movie and Narangba Demons Baseball Club will be cooking a sausage sizzle. There will also be free face painting before the movie.

Cr Darren Grimwade (Div 11) says you don’t have to be a basketball fan to enjoy Space Jam: A New Legacy.

“I might be a couple inches short of a slam dunk, but you won’t be disappointed by Council’s skills and ability to put on an awesome family friendly night out under the stars.” he says.

“In my day, it was Michael Jordan lighting up the big screen in one of the biggest blockbuster movies of the year and now kids can enjoy superstar LeBron James at our Narangba Movie in the Park. But anyone can enjoy the comedy and fun of Bugs Bunny and co, especially when there’s food trucks, barbecue and movie snacks on offer, so grab a picnic blanket and come on down.”

Big program of events

Mayor Peter Flannery says this is just one of many events being held right across the Moreton Bay Region this year.

“We’ve worked hard with Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) to deliver community events for just about every single pocket of Moreton Bay and just about every single week of the 2022-23 financial year,” he says.

“We want Moreton Bay residents to have the option to stay within their neighbourhood to have fun days and nights out with the family, and to activate our local parks and green spaces."
