Jingle your way down to Nathan Road Sports Complex on December 11 for a magical evening at the Redcliffe Peninsula Christmas Carols.
All your festive favourites are back including twilight markets, Santa’s village, Christmas llamas, live entertainment and a fireworks finale.
The popular Santa’s Village will return with an array of free and low-cost children’s activities including craft, face painting, giant snow globe and a chance to meet Santa.
The Christmas llamas are back by popular demand, giving families the opportunity to pat and have photos taken with them.
Arrive early to secure the best spot in front of the Ausbuild Main Stage and sing along with thousands of others in a spectacular concert with music by local community groups as well as headline act, The Moreton Bay Big Band who will belt out everyone’s favourite Christmas Carols.
Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) CEO and Founder Shane Newcombe says he can’t wait for the Redcliffe Peninsula Christmas Carols.
“The Redcliffe Peninsula Christmas Carols are a focal point for families across the Peninsula to get together and enjoy a full festive entertainment program with live music, dance performances, carolling and of course a fireworks spectacular to end the night,” Mr Newcombe says.
“I couldn’t think of a better way to spread the holiday spirit than being entertained by local talent live on stage, with great food from our region’s best vendors and a bunch of fun, free activities for the children.”
Evening to enjoy together
Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor Peter Flannery is encouraging residents to pack a picnic blanket and camping chairs to make the most of the festive evening.
“Events like the Redcliffe Peninsula Christmas Carols are all about bringing our community together to share in the spirit of Christmas,” Mayor Flannery says.
“With a great program, a cheerful atmosphere and mighty fireworks display at the end of the night, these events really are a great asset to our community.”
Residents will be able do some Christmas shopping at the twilight markets and grab a tasty treat from a range of gourmet food trucks which will be onsite throughout the evening.
