Work on a new connection road in one of Moreton Bay’s fastest-growing areas, will start soon.

The tender to build Arcadia Drive in Griffin has been awarded to Hall Contracting which is expected to set-up a site office next month.

Construction of the road into Freshwater Village, will begin in December or early next year.

It will join Brays Rd to Wesley Rd, help traffic flow for Griffin State School and have traffic signals. The latter is pending agreement with Council.

The project includes preparatory civil works on the site of the new Freshwater Village shopping centre.

Funded by Wattle Run Developments, the roadworks are expected to provide approximately 30 jobs during construction.

"The impact of the new infrastructure and shopping centre will be transformational for the residents of Griffin." Jenny Fisher, Director of Wattle Run Developments, said.

Hall Contracting CEO and Director Cameron Hall added: “We’re proud to be involved with providing new infrastructure to support the growth of Griffin and accommodate the needs of its residents.”
