eDiscovery workshops to make holiday learning fun

USC is calling all aspiring scientists, explorers, artists and actors to stretch their creativity and innovation at eDiscovery sessions over the school holidays.

Students aged from 8-15 years can select from a packed program of fun, low-cost holiday workshops at USC campuses at Caboolture on September 28 and Moreton Bay on September 29.

High-tech activities range from animating sumo robotic wrestlers to micro-drone adventures, while budding artists can help craft magical flowers and would-be actors can explore key elements of drama, including improvisation and characterisation.

Hands on learning

The workshops will be led by USC academics and experts, innovators and artists from local communities.

The eDiscovery initiative is a partnership between USC and RoboCoast, with funding through a RoboCoast STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Outreach Project grant from the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources.

The partnership aims to provide students with opportunities to engage with a range of technologies through experimentation, tinkering and hands-on learning.

Numbers are limited. For details go to usc.edu.au and search ‘eDiscovery’.
