Free Spring Carnival comes to Moreton Bay

Encircle is poised to host a free Spring Carnival to celebrate local neighbourhoods and families.

The Spring Carnival will be held on Saturday, September 16, from 10am-2pm at Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre.

Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre Marketing and Communications Officer Linda Nevell says Encircle provides free events as a way to give back to the community.

“Encircle is focused on delivering an inclusive and cost-free opportunity for residents to come together, unwind and enjoy a day of festivities. The Spring Carnival is designed to be a hub of entertainment for families, children and the young at heart,” Linda says.

Back in March, the centre hosted a free Redcliffe community fun day, which attracted more than 1400 people.

“After hosting the community fun day, we realised there was a demand for free family entertainment, especially with cost-of-living pressures, which can result in social isolation,” Linda says

At this year’s Spring Carnival, attendees can expect plenty of free and fun activities.

“There will be lots of free fun for everyone, including live music, a petting zoo, face painting, a jumping castle, an emergency services display, a kid’s maze, food, drinks and more,” Linda says.

“A variety of local community organisations will be hosting stalls, which is a great opportunity to learn about the services available in the Moreton Bay area.

“The Spring Carnival aims to remind the community that there are still opportunities to come together, make memories and have fun without the burden of high costs. It's a celebration of local neighbourhoods and families.”

While this event is free, bookings are required to reserve a spot.

Free tickets are available here.

The Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre is at 865 Gympie Rd, Lawnton.
