Albany Creek State High School is hosting a series of tours in coming months for prospective students and their families.

While the school has an enrolment management plan in place, students from outside the catchment area can apply to study at Albany Creek through its programs of excellence in the arts and football.

The programs are both auditioning students in early June, but students who apply after the auditions will be considered.

A third program of excellence – in Media Arts – will be available to Year 7 students from next year.

It will operate from a new purpose-built facility that opens in August and will be home to two dedicated multimedia classrooms, two science laboratories and eight new general learning areas.

School tours will be held on June 6, 13 and 20, with fortnightly tours held from July 11.
