Evan clinches Aussie team place

Evan Han will carry the hopes of North Lakes-based PK Taekwondo at the Oceania Championships next month.

Han (Cadet -41kg) finished third in his division winning a bronze medal at the Junior World and Oceania Championship Team Selections in Sydney.

It was fine display by Han earlier this month, coming through five fights in one day to earn his place on the Australian team for the March 28-29 titles.

PK Taekwondo team-mate Jeffrey Park fought well to reach the quarter-finals of the Junior World Championship selections.

However, his run ended against the eventual gold medallist in the semi-finals of the Junior -55kg division.
