Explore the future of gaming

Whether you’re a gamer or not, it's no surprise that digital gaming is a huge part of our lives, especially for the younger generation. Innovate Moreton Bay is hosting a workshop this month looking at the future of the industry and the opportunities it will offer.

The free event is on February 15 from noon-2pm at North Lakes Hotel.

Co-Founder Real Serious Games and Queensland XR CEO Hub Karen Sanders is the keynote speaker and will be part of a panel discussion with Screen Queensland Games and SQhub Director Jed Dawson and Queensland XR Hub Operations Manager Emma Murtagh as moderator.

From co-op multi-player online, mobile phone games, virtual reality, augmented reality or even immersing into the metaverse - one way or another, most people have experienced gaming technologies.

Big games are expensive to make and require a global audience to succeed, but they pioneer the common use of new technologies and ways of interacting.

The workshop will explore how other industries take advantage of these technologies and use them to work differently and upskill current and future workforces.
