Kenilworth Bakery, renowned for its decadent doughnuts and pies, appears set to opening a second shop in the Moreton Bay region.

Reports suggest the company, which has outlets in Bribie, Kenilworth and Mooloolaba, will open its fourth store in Samford Village later this month.

Social media lit up when Kenilworth Bakery posted online a new store was about to open – but did not reveal where.

The family-run company did, however, tease that the launch will be celebrated with a “free donut day”.

Speculation over the location has been growing and now tourism/lifestyle website mustdobrisbane.com says the new outlet will be at Samford.

But again, an opening date has not been revealed.

Moreton Daily has approached Kenilworth Country Bakery for comment.

The bakery is famous for its 1kg sausage rolls, 1kg donuts and coffee donuts (hollowed out 1kg donuts filled with coffee).

Kenilworth Country Bakery is a household name in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, having been established in 1924.

It’s a World Heritage Listed bakery with an old woodfired bread oven in the oldest building in Kenilworth.

In 2011 Kenilworth Country Bakery opened its second store in Mooloolaba and then a third at Bongaree on Bribie Island in late 2023.
