Full steam ahead at Lilywood

Lilywood Landings – the first residential community in the new city of Waraba (formerly Caboolture West) – is set for its first blocks ready by the end of this year.

Work started in February on bulk earthworks, pictured above, for the initial 228 lots, along with stormwater and wastewater infrastructure.

Ian Worthington, Lennium Group Development Manager, said construction of the first homes likely to start early in 2025.

“We are aware that a developer in a future Waraba precinct, AV Jennings, has terminated the option on its land, citing a significant increase in infrastructure and development costs,” he said.

“While this will have no impact on Lilywood Landings, we also faced serious challenges in relation to infrastructure over several years in the lead up to work starting on our project.

“We are now full steam ahead and given the critical housing shortage in southeast Queensland, we’re especially pleased to be providing an affordable entry to the property market in the fast-growing Moreton Bay region.”

Lennium Group is one of several developers with landholdings in Waraba’s first precinct, together with Orchard Property Group, AVID Property Group and Baycrown Property Group.

Development approvals and all infrastructure agreements and funding are in place for Waraba’s first precinct - Lilywood.

Lilywood Landings will provide more than 700 homes on completion, with access to 1.74kms of Caboolture River frontage, more than 23ha for parks and green spaces as well as a convenience store and childcare centre.

The community will also be home to Waraba’s first display village in partnership with Master Builders Queensland.
