Hayden lands huge trophy haul

Hayden Dalmazzo’s remarkable cricket season has been recognised with a raft of awards.

The teenager collected 10 trophies from Redcliffe City Cyclones Cricket Club and Brisbane North Junior Cricket Association (BNJCA).

It followed a post-Christmas campaign in which he captained Cyclones’ Under 14 team to the Brisbane North championship.

Dalmazzo was named Cyclones’ Club Champion for a second successive year, in tribute to the consistency he has shown over a long period.

He was awarded the Club Best Batter and Under 14s Best Batter following a run-laden post-Christmas season.

During that time, he scored 399 runs at an average of 57 with is highest score being 104 not out from just 49 deliveries.

Dalmazzo was also recognised with a plaque for scoring 50 or more three times – with scores of 77 from 49 balls, 69 from 39 balls and 54 not out from 31 balls.

At the wider-reaching BNJCA awards, he received the Under 14a Post Christmas Most Wickets award, which covered that age group right across north Brisbane.

Dalmazzo also won the Best Batting Aggregate and Best Batting Average trophies, as well as being the BNJCA’s Under 14 Post Christmas 2022 Champion Player.

His colleagues in the championship-winning team were Jake Keiler, Joseph Truman, Ned Sellin, Emily Wilson, Matthys Visser, Cooper Dalmazzo, Emily Keiler, Ben Truman, Zack Whittred, Noah Brown, Hayden Baikie and Keeratvir Singh (absent from photo).
