Huge crowds enjoy peninsula carols

Thousands of local residents and visitors turned out for Sunday's Redcliffe Peninsula Christmas Carols at Nathan Road Sports Complex, Rothwell.

Children enjoyed a range of festive activities in Santa’s village including Santa meet and greets, Christmas crafts, Christmas Llamas and letters to Santa.

Local choirs, schools and dance groups performed on the main stage getting everyone into the Christmas spirit with a range of carols.

Among the favourites was the Wavelength Vocal Group and the Moreton Bay Youth Band welcomed Santa with a parade through the crowd to the main stage

The carols end with a fireworks spectacular at 8pm.
