UPDATE: The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash involving two trucks in Morayfield this morning.

Emergency services were called to reports of a crash between a Fuso Fighter tip truck and Mitsubishi Fm series truck northbound on the Bruce Highway, near the Buchanan Rd overpass, around 8.10am.

The driver and sole occupant of the Mitsubishi, a 58-year-old Tarragindi man, was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver and sole occupant of the tip truck, a 68-year-old Albany Creek man, was assessed at the scene for minor injuries.

Anyone with relevant dashcam vision of either of the vehicles prior to the crash, is urged to contact police

ORIGINAL POST: Motorists are still being urged to avoid the Bruce Highway heading north towards Caboolture due to multi-vehicle crashes this morning.

Queensland Traffic website says in an update just before 11am: “All lanes blocked northbound towards Caboolture. Long delays expected.

“Emergency services are on scene/en-route,” said the website using information from Transport and Main Roads.

The post says the incident happened after the Buchan Road exit to Morayfield, but earlier reports suggested there was a second crash further south.

Traffic cameras show huge tailbacks in the area, stretching back towards Burpengary and North Lakes.
