Redcliffe KiteFest program revealed

Redcliffe KiteFest is returning to the Moreton Bay Region, offering a huge program of entertainment including Bluey and Bingo live on the Sesame Lane Main Stage.

The favourites of the small screen will be on the big stage for two shows each day of KiteFest, which runs from September 17 and 18 at Clontarf’s Pelican Park from 9am-4pm.

They are just one of the acts on the Sesame Lane Main Stage with event organisers, Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism (MBRIT), promising more announcements soon.

“Bluey and Bingo are back by popular demand and we can’t wait to see their latest show at Redcliffe KiteFest,” MBRIT Chairman Shane Newcombe says.

“We’ve also secured the Hot Wheels Stunt Team display which means Redcliffe KiteFest is truly the ultimate kids’ weekend.

“Tickets are on sale now and we’re encouraging everyone to book online as we fully expect this year’s event to sell out.”

The program for the 2022 event will feature crowd favourites including the KiteFest Kidz Zone, KiteFest Karnival, Kite Flying Arena, Public Kite Flying Zone, Ocean/Sky Zone, food/market stalls and more.

Family favourite

Moreton Bay Regional Council mayor Peter Flannery says there is no better low-cost, family friendly event in the region.

“Each year Redcliffe KiteFest attracted tens of thousands to the region and this year will certainly be no different,” Mayor Flannery says.

“If you’ve never been to KiteFest before, I promise there’s no better place to be in South East Queensland than the sparkling blue waters of Moreton Bay on a clear spring day with a kaleidoscope of kites in the sky.

| “Don’t miss out on this wonderful experience and book your tickets before it’s too late.” |

Tickets bought online are $12 adults (16+ years) + booking fee; $7 child (3-15 years)/concession + booking fee; $30 family pass (two adults and two children or one adult and three children) + booking fee; and admission is free for children two years and under.

All pre-purchased ticket holders will go into the draw to win a Golden Ticket – the ultimate festival experience.
