A Deception Bay woman’s Keno numbers have come up trumps again, adding more than $150,000 to the million dollars she won 10 years ago!
The Moreton Bay resident yesterday landed $151,946.20 in the Keno Mega Millions 8 Spot jackpot for an entry bought at Deception Bay Tavern.
When contacted by Keno, the woman revealed she’d had many Keno wins - big and small - over the past decade.
“I can’t believe I’ve done it again!” she said. “My hubby and I have a weekly ritual of putting a game of Keno on while we grab a coffee. We call it our hour of relaxation.
“It feels like I have a winning way with Keno. Ten years ago, I won a 10 spot prize worth more than a million dollars.
“I’ve experienced lots of little wins in between and I’ve often thought I might have a gift for playing Keno.
“It still hasn’t sunk in for us yet. It’ll be nice to upgrade parts of our life a little. We’re not getting any younger, so we’d love to organise a big holiday too.”
Her winning Keno Mega Millions entry was purchased at Deception Bay Tavern Keno, cnr Bay Avenue & Deception Bay Rd.
Deception Bay Tavern Keno spokesperson Terry Wilson said the team was excited to see one its patrons win.
“We’ve been celebrating at the venue and telling everyone we’ve sold a major Keno prize,” he said.
“Lots of people have been so excited to hear that one of our patrons has won. Everyone’s hoping it’s them next time!
“Congratulations to our winner! We wish them all the very best with their prize.”
In FY24, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 78.5 million wins collectively worth more than $1.16 billion.
During this time, Keno crowned 18 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $46.7 million.
Nine of these major winners were Queenslanders, including a Kallangur man who won $8.45 million after scoring the Keno Classic and Keno Mega Millions 10 Spot jackpots in the one draw.
