Resurfacing is about to start on two major roads in the Caboolture region.
State Member for Pumicestone Ali King said she’d been campaigning to get upgrades to the D’Aguilar Highway in Caboolture and Pumicestone Rd at Toorbul.
“We’ve listened to the community, which has been calling for action on the roads,” Ms King said.
Start date
“Resurfacing treatment will be delivered for a 3.5km of the D’Aguilar Highway, from the Bruce Highway ramps along the Caboolture Bypass, including about 200m of Pumicestone Road at Toorbul.
“Construction is expected to start later this year.”
Ms King said locals and businesses would be notified when construction begins.
660 jobs
“The Sunshine Coast and Moreton regions are booming, and we are backing them like never before,” she said.
The $662.5 million Bruce Highway, Caboolture-Bribie Island Road to Steve Irwin Way upgrade is underway, supporting an estimated 660 direct jobs.
Recent work on the D'Aguilar Highway has included $6.3 million for resurfacing and rehabilitation works, completed in July, on four sections from the Caboolture Bypass.
Safety treatments, including wide centre line, are to be started in a state-funded, $12 million project along a 4km section west of Lord Lane at Moodlu and Wamuran.
