Meadows land release at Waraba
Lilywood Landings, the first residential development in the new city of Waraba, is preparing for its second land release.
The Meadows has an average lot size of 420sqm – suitable for a four-bedroom, two-bathroom family home - with lands prices expected from around $375,000.
Construction of the 34 blocks, which are close to the 3.25-hectare green spine of Lilywood Landings, is also ahead of schedule.
Developer Lennium Group has announced a special pre-launch opportunity for the next land release and is expecting strong demand after phase one sold out.
“The response so far has been phenomenal,” Development Manager Ian Worthington, said, encouraging buyers to register their interest
“Only 12 months since our official sod-turning, the community has seen an incredible transformation, achieved 150 sales in a short time and will soon see the first homes start construction.”
First home buyers Jarred and Naoko Funnell are among the contenders to be the first residents of Waraba (formerly known as Caboolture West).
Network engineer Jarred, 28, said they were looking forward to moving from their apartment in Fortitude Valley into their four-bedroom home.
“I had no idea we would be among the first ever people to move into Lilywood Landings and the new city of Waraba,” he said.
“We wanted to venture out of Brisbane for something more affordable and building our own home is very exciting because we can put our own stamp on it.
“I can’t wait to have a lawn and get stuck into some gardening. We love that Lilywood is close to nature and high up with a lovely view.”
Naoko, 30, said: “I love that there will be a childcare centre close to our home. We hope to become parents in the future so it will be really handy.”
Waraba is a 40-year project supplying 30,000 homes plus schools, parks, sporting fields and a town centre for 70,000 people – approximately the size of Mackay.
