New ambulance graduates head north

Seven newly graduated Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics have joined the team in the Metro North Region.

A spokeswoman for the Queensland Ambulance Service said the Advanced Care Paramedics, who have just completed their paramedic internships, would rotate through stations in the region depending on operational needs.

Diverse experience

The spokeswoman said the rotations would allow the paramedics to experience a diverse range of situations across the busy region.

The Metro North region takes in 24 ambulance stations, from inner-city Spring Hill and Ashgrove, across to rural Kilcoy and Woodford.

Moreton Bay Region stations in the Metro North catchment include Bribie Island, Caboolture, Dayboro, Deception Bay, Eatons Hill, Narangba, Ningi, North Lakes, Northgate, Petrie, Redcliffe and Samford.
