The finishing touches are being added to the Moreton Bay Region’s newest café – the White Horse Ranch in Albany Creek – which is creating new jobs.
Owners Amy Hinschen and Kyle Steel say the café, on the corner of Albany Creek Rd and Ferguson St, will open in late January creating around 10 local jobs.
It is the first White Horse Ranch, but a second business for the owners who have lived in Albany Creek for more than five years.
Fast fit out
“We had a team of myself, Kyle and our amazing friends help with our fit out,” says Amy, “we designed and built everything ourselves.
“We got stuck in and worked hard to have a quick five-week fit out. Now it is just the few final touches, staffing and the menu to finalise.
“We chose Albany Creek not only because we love our community, but because we found it doesn’t have many options for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.
“So, we wanted to create an amazing place with a great vibe where everyone can meet up.”
Food, coffee, gifts
Amy says the name White Horse Ranch was chosen as it “expressed the feel and style” they wanted for a café serving food and coffee with a shop of homewares and gifts.
It will be open seven days a week from 6am to 4pm, open for dinner from 5-10pm Friday and Saturday. There is a dog-friendly outdoor space.
White Horse Ranch will be licenced and areas of the café will be available to be booked for functions.
